We recommend starting with 1 drop of essential oil per 100ml of water. If you perceive too little/no aroma with this amount, it may have to do with the size of the room (see the description of the respective diffuser). If the room is not larger than the maximum mentioned in the description, we recommend going up to a maximum of 4 drops per 100ml of water.
Where should I place the diffuser?
The placement of the aroma diffuser is very important for a good scent experience. Preferably, do not place it near windows or doors. Always ensure sufficient airflow so that the mist can spread well. If there are pets present, make sure they cannot come into direct contact with the mist to avoid direct contact of the oil with the skin. So do not place it on the ground.
How do I clean the diffuser?
Proper maintenance of an aroma diffuser is very important. Empty the aroma diffuser after each session and never let it sit for too long. Always wipe the bottom well with a paper towel. Avoid the ultrasonic chip.
1. Always unplug it when you are not diffusing.
2. Empty the diffuser as well as possible.
3. Fill your diffuser halfway with clean tap water. So to half of the maximum.
4. Add 10 drops of pure white vinegar. This helps to remove the oils that are stuck.
5. Let the aroma diffuser run for 3 to 5 minutes to allow the water-vinegar mix to flow through the machine properly.
6. Empty the aroma diffuser. NOTE: do not let water run into the air inlet.
7. Use a cotton cloth or kitchen paper with a little vinegar to clean difficult corners or spots as well.
8. Fill the diffuser with plain water and let it run for another 5 minutes.
9. Empty the diffuser again and it will run like a charm. Enjoy the fragrance!
Any further tips to keep in mind?
1. WARNING: each diffuser has an air inlet on the side. If water gets in here, it can cause water damage and your diffuser will be out of warranty. So be careful which side you pour the water from.
2. Never turn on the diffuser without water! This can damage the ultrasonic chip due to overheating.
3. Always add water first and then the oil.
4. Always use a good quality oil. Check out our oils here: View oils
5. Only use clean spring or tap water. Warm water works best.
6. The small round ultrasonic chip in the middle of the bottom is very fragile. Always use a cotton swab to gently remove oil residue or dirt.
7. Never place the diffuser near electronic devices.
8. Never leave oil and water in the aroma diffuser. Always empty it after use and wipe the diffuser well with kitchen paper. Avoid the ultrasonic chip!
