We are AromaDiffusing.nl. A company with a wealth of experience and knowledge in everything related to scents. Currently consisting of 7 experts, including technical and creative backgrounds. We are located in Breda and Roosendaal, but at the moment we do not have a physical store (yet). However, visits to our office are possible by appointment.
For years, we have specialized in the immense effect that scent can have on important aspects of (business) life. Over the years, we have slowly realized that the influence of scent on countless aspects is unjustly underestimated. In our opinion, this needs to change as soon as possible, preferably today!
AromaDiffusing was born out of my own irritation/discontent with the established alternatives on the market at that time, which I also initially sold. I (Emiel, founder of AromaDiffusing) started selling aroma diffusers and fragrance oils in 2019. These were simple, small models from China, along with fragrance oil from China, and everything was going quite well, with initial sales successes. Until the first orders arrived at customers and they started using them. The first complaint came in that the customer couldn't smell anything, the second complaint was that the diffuser didn't work, the third complaint was that the diffuser was broken after 1 day, and you guessed it, it just kept coming.
The diffusers were of poor quality, the fragrance oil was not strong enough because it was also mixed with water, and above all, the diffusers were not even made for use with oil. After a while, the diffuser even started to crumble due to the oil's effect. You can imagine that this led to some problems and dissatisfied customers. We obviously resolved this properly and halted the sale of those products. This was unfortunate, but by then I had gained many valuable lessons. One thing was clear: the demand for a solution for a delightful scent in homes was definitely there, but the quality of the solutions on the market was lacking.
Born with entrepreneurial blood, a person like me naturally gets very excited about such a situation. An optimal alternative needs to be brought to market!
I still remember the day that realization came, sparked by a Belgian entrepreneur who submitted a customer message via the webshop of the old small diffusers. This entrepreneur wanted to fill his 2000 square meter hall, where he presented, with delightful aroma. A request like this is something you can't pass up as an entrepreneur, so the ball started rolling; small diffusers from China were not going to cut it! I went on a quest and spent days searching for the right application of scent diffusion for this gentleman. I came across a new technology that had just hit the market: Cold Mist Diffusion. This technology would use pure fragrance oil, without water, without heat, and would last for months without needing a refill. This sounded very promising, so everything was set in motion immediately.
With the necessary hurdles (such as the major COVID outbreak that caused all physical businesses to close, and thus no one invested in scent diffusion), it has ultimately been an incredibly beautiful journey to this day. I am writing this at the end of 2024, and after not even 1.5 years in full swing (with a long pause due to COVID and other projects), we already have over 20,000 customers in the Dutch and German markets, and more than 850 five-star reviews have been given on TrustPilot and Google. We now have a well-established brand that focuses on customer satisfaction as a priority and is continuously working on further developments such as new scents, new machines, and expansions into physical stores.
It is no longer a one-man mission. We are 7 young, driven individuals who give everything for one goal: A world where scent is not a side issue, but determines the atmosphere.
